About Me
Aaron D. Bandy, NBCT, LCSW is a psychotherapist providing individual, couples, and group therapy and who specializes in Queer people, immigrants and children of immigrants, and neurodivergent people. He uses neurobiological and attachment-based relational theories in his practice and trains in modern psychoanalytic interventions to help people notice and integrate their thoughts, feelings, and body sensations. He help people gain understanding of their actions and reactions and accept that defenses are protective rather than something to ‘fix'. Aaron is an active member of the Austin Group Psychotherapy Society and has been a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee at AGPS for four years and is currently the DEI Chair. Aaron lives in East Austin with his husband Allen and their poodle puppy Otis.
