Join us at this year’s AGPS Annual Meeting, which will include a short business meeting followed by a panel discussion.

Our panelists will be Katharine Barnhill, LCSW, CPG; Audry Steele, MA, LPC, and Emilio Anguiano, LCDC, CGP.

More about our panelists

Audry Steele, MA LPC, has been leading groups in her private practice for over 20 years and continues to learn about herself and others in her own training and therapy groups. She enjoys exploring the unconscious with her patients and has a special love for providing treatment and consultation for therapists interested in their own growth. Her background includes training at the Center for Group Studies and active participation in the Austin Group Psychotherapy Society and the American Group Psychotherapy Association. Audry is a native Texan whose early work in India and Taiwan contributes to her understanding of how culture shapes us all, and she remains an avid member of two international consultation groups that focus on using emotional communication to help people say everything.

Katharine Barnhill, LCSW, CGP, is a psychotherapist in Austin where she enjoys relational, psychodynamically oriented work with individuals, couples, and groups. She has been leading, participating in, and studying different types of group therapy for twenty years and currently leads 5 in-person process groups. Experiencing the pandemic alongside her clients helped clarify her values as a therapist and taught her a lot about flexibility, adaptability, grief, and gratitude. And how to turn a messy laundry room into a zoom office in a pinch.

Emilio Anguiano, LCDC, CGP, is a Medical Doctor in Mexico, and in the US he is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), Imago Relationship Therapist (IRT), and Certified Group Psychotherapist (CGP). Some of his areas of expertise are domestic/family violence, anger management, and substance use issues. He runs process groups and psycho-educational groups, with a modern analytic lens predominantly. 70% of his work is online, and 30% is in person.

Panelists will share their evolving experiences and ideas as they approach this issue.

Then, we will have small breakout sessions to give all participants the opportunity to continue this discussion, sharing our experience and creativity with one another as we continue through this unprecedented time.
