Friday Night Conversation
Clients at Work: What it Means in Therapy
Helping clients with the problems they face at work is vital—and sometimes vexing. As we engage with clients on their work concerns, our efforts to connect, relate, and understand can be challenged by differences in our lived professional experiences, the language clients use to describe their work, and the emotional charge that work can carry in their lives.
Join Mary Lynn Marinucci, LCSW-S, for a lively conversation about the unique dynamics of work-related issues in therapy. We’ll explore opportunities and realities, consider the concept of the Work Imago and get curious about the clinical significance of the 'work-speak' clients—and we—bring into the therapy room.
