Integrative Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Groups:
Deepening Connection in the Here and Now.
Saturday, April 25, 2026
8:30am- 5:00pm
Thompson Conference Center
This experiential workshop will demonstrate the power of integrating various contemporary theories and techniques to increase the immediacy, potency and vibrancy of your interpersonal groups in the here-and-now. We will explore integrating Psychodynamic and Attachment Theory with aspects of Internal Family Systems, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and Polyvagal Theory to both ground and enliven your groups. We will discuss theoretical frameworks and leadership strategies to support group cohesion, group member safety, activate members’ social engagement systems and provide correctional relational repair.
This workshop will focus on increasing cohesion and safety so that group members can have difficult and vulnerable conversations in the here-and-now, including navigating discussions around identity and navigating visible and invisible differences. The workshop will include didactic teaching, modeling and experiential work around anti- oppressive practices, including challenging the potential risks and power-differential of top-down models that focus on interpretation.
